I want to share some of my favorite things my kids love during the summers that keep them busy and loving the outdoors! For those of you that don’t know, I am a full-time working mom of 2. I have a 2-and-a-half-year-old and a 15-month-old. Finding things for both girls to do was a challenge at first, but now I have found a few fun items both girls can play with! We do live in Michigan and put these items away every winter, which I highly suggest for those of you that experience all 4 seasons! These items can get a little pricey so we have purchased them separately over the last few years for birthdays, Christmas, etc. Enjoy these recommendations!
1) 2Step Watertable – This is a hit with all the kids! My 2.5 year old is going through a phase where she is afraid of EVERYTHING. No to sprinklers, no to splash pads, no to sunscreen… Yes, apparently sunscreen is scary. However, she is a huge fan of the water table. This allows all ages to explore their imagination and use those motor skills! The one we have can be found here: https://amzn.to/3xDzdDI
2) Bounce House for Toddlers: This is THE best purchase I have ever made. I was skeptical on the size and durability of this bounce house but it has lasted us through several parties and a full year. Ours is still in great shape and both girls get so excited when we set this up. The one we have is no longer available however this is the same brand! They have lots of options for all ages! I highly recommend: https://amzn.to/3xQfIrx
3) Up & Down Roller Coaster for Toddlers: The kids have so much fun on this roller coaster! I was a little nervous at first as the younger ones (under 2) do need support, however, it’s the joy on their faces is worth the back pain of holding them while they ride down the slide. This is the exact one we have: https://amzn.to/3zxLYjA
4) 2Step Camper: The kids and even myself love this camper set! It is so fun to use our imaginations and play camping. From making smores to burgers, this set is bound to keep the little ones entertained! You can find this on amazon at https://amzn.to/4csBX5V or check your local Costco! We received ours last year as a gift and are obsessed with it. One recommendation I have is to keep the little products (food, pots, pans) stored in containers such as these ones: https://amzn.to/3RTa7aL
